Concept
Simple forms are pulled apart to create breezeways, courtyards and covered outdoor spaces that become part of the everyday living environment. A deck cuts through the house beneath a singular roofline, with large sliding flyscreens allowing the home to open up and breathe while still feeling sheltered and contained. A restrained material palette and simple planning keep the build efficient, while selected crafted details celebrate the skills of the owner-builder.
